Jiaqi Studio was founded in New York in 2024 by designer Jiaqi Shen as a quiet promise — to create work that is true to self, unhurried, and uncompromising in its craft.

Raised in the hum of her parents’ textile shop in Shanghai, Jiaqi’s earliest memories are of draping sheer fabrics across her shoulders, learning how material can shape not only the body, but also feeling. That sensitivity to texture, weight, and light still guides her process today.

Design Philosophy

Jiaqi’s work carries a soft, rebellious energy — balancing structure and fluidity, intimacy and distance. Each garment is guided by observation, touched by poetry, and refined with precision. Construction, material integrity, and longevity form the foundation of every piece, ensuring they endure beyond seasons and trends.

Rather than chasing novelty, Jiaqi seeks quiet innovation — breaking her own boundaries with each collection, allowing designs to evolve naturally from research, emotion, and the changing light of the world around her.
