Cave of Wax Candle Workshop

Join a small-group candle workshop at Oblique Table near Grand Central and create your own decorative candles while exploring scented candle techniques.

This session is part of our ongoing workshop series by Jia, centered on making as a way of noticing space. Participants will shape, assemble, and layer wax by hand to create candles. Each workshop stands on its own, with forms and approaches evolving over time

What You'll Make

During this workshop, participants will create and take home two candles:

• A sculptural gradient pillar candle with porous textures created through ice molding

• A small additional exercise exploring scented candles

All materials, tools and packagings are provided. The workshop is fully guided and suitable for those with or without prior experience.

• Please arrive on time, as the session will begin promptly

• Please avoid wearing delicate clothing, as you will be working with warm wax
